The median town's August afternoon is 30.5°C; Sevilla's is 36.8°C. If you want a Spanish summer you can sit outside in, the choice narrows fast: 78 towns average 28 °C or less in August, and the official 2055 scenarios leave 61. The table also shows the two things an August afternoon figure hides: hot nights (above 20 °C) and humidity (the dew point); a 28 °C afternoon with a 20 °C dew point feels worse than 31 °C in dry air.
